Dr. Jordan Black, PT, DPT Owner of Tristar Physical Therapy
Dr. Jordan Black, PT, DPT is Owner of Tristar Physical Therapy. Jordan is a native of Morristown, TN earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2013. He later completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in St. Augustine, Florida. Along with his educational experiences, Jordan has many clinic experiences including:
- Student Athletic Trainer for the University of Tennessee football team from 2011-2013
- Completion of manual therapy certification courses through the University of St. Augustine
- Rehabilitating professional athletes from the NFL, NBA and MMA
- Athletic Field Evaluations
- Experience with Selective Functional Movement Assessment
- Certified in Dry Needling through Integrative Dry Needling
Jordan’s Vision: To treat all patients like I would my family and ensure that each patient reaches their maximum potential for the individual needs and abilities.
Dr. Morgan Black, PT, DPT, ATC Owner of Tristar Physical Therapy
Brandon Brewer, PTA Vice President
Brandon is a 2006 graduate from Walter's State Community College receiving an Associate's of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant. He has spent his career in the outpatient setting with a special interest in the treatment of spine disorders using a variety of manual therapy techniques including joint mobilization, soft tissue release, and myofascial release. Brandon is also trained in McKenzie Method. He has extensive experience in the treatment of a variety of both orthopedic and neurological disorders.
Brandon's Vision: I ve always felt like God led me into this field and blessed me with the ability and skills to help patients recover from their injury. It is my goal each day to use those abilities to help my patients reach their goals and improve their quality of life. I feel blessed each day to do this job, and have the opportunity to have a positive impact on those in our community!
Dr. Bailee Wilson, PT, DPT
HOMETOWN: Morristown, TN
PRIMARY CLINIC: Morristown
A Morristown native, Bailee completed her doctorate of physical therapy degree at Eastern Tennessee State University, and has clinic interests in sports medicine and orthopedics.
She enjoys CrossFit, playing competitive soccer, and barefoot water skiing. She is also certified in scuba diving.
Dr. Nick Moore, PT, DPT Maryville Clinic

Nick is the head physical therapist at our New Tazewell clinic and has been instrumental in creating a positive impact in Claiborne County. Nick enjoys seeing all patients ranging from all walks of life.
Nick enjoys Tennessee football, outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife, dog and newborn son.

Dr. Sarah Shiflett, PT, DPT, OCS Clinic Director
Sarah Shiflett is originally from the Middle Tennessee area but earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2014. She then graduated from University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Sarah has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting ever since graduating in 2018. She went on to complete a year long Orthopedic residency program in Asheville North Carolina and became a Certified Orthopedic specialist in 2019. Along with her educational experiences and specialities, Sarah is certified in dry needling and LSVT BIG. She is experienced in treating a variety of orthopedic, neurologic and multi- system conditions & injuries in all age groups. Sarah's passion is not only to help her patients return to function after injury, but to teach them how to lead healthier lifestyles in order to live their lives to the fullest for many years after their time in our clinic."
Caitlin Neely, PT, DPT
Caitlin is a graduate of East Tennessee State University where she received her Bachelors of Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She has worked in the outpatient world since graduating in 2016 with a focus on manual treatment. Her clinical interests include:
Caitlin lives in Knoxville with her husband and 3 dogs and enjoys spending time outside hiking and kayaking.
Sydney Friedman, M.S., CCC-SLP Speech-Language Pathologist
"Sydney is originally from San Diego and moved to East Tennessee with her husband in 2014. She received her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego where she was captain of the field hockey and equestrian teams.
Sydney received her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Tennessee. Sydney has clinical experience with medically fragile patients dependent on ventilators and tracheostomy, stroke survivors, and individuals with cognitive impairments. She specializes in the treatment of pediatric speech disorders, developmental language delays, treatment of individuals with complex communication needs, and implementation of Alternative and Augmentative Communication strategies (AAC).
Outside of working as a Speech Pathologist, Sydney spends her time with her husband and dogs, horseback riding competitively, and enjoying the beautiful lakes and mountains that East Tennessee has to offer. “
Andrew Fowler, PTA Morristown Clinic
Andrew is a 2019 graduate of Walters States Community College receiving an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant. Andrew’s passion for helping others began at a very young age where he attended Physical Therapy treatments with his father who had both shoulder and hip procedures rehabilitated. He has a background of treating patients in a variety of settings such as outpatient, acute care and assisted living facilities. He has clinical experiences rehabilitating patients ranging from post-operative joint replacements to those suffering from neurological disorders.
Andrew’s Vision: “I have been given the talent and ability to impact my community for the better and that shows every day that I am able to help better someone’s ability to get into their car easier, reach that coffee cup in the cupboard and picking their grandchild up for the first time pain-free. Seeing other’s improvements in their abilities to perform everyday tasks with ease makes my hard work all worth it in the end.”
Brittany Sturgill, PTA - Clinic Director New Tazewell

As a graduate from the PTA program at Walters State Community, Brittany has been a therapist for Tristar with clinical interests in Neuromuscular and Sports Medicine Rehab.
She enjoys traveling, crafting, spending time with her Dachshund, Trixie, and watching the 6-time national champion North Carolina Tar Heels basketball.
Brittany's ability to adapt and help treat any and all patients have made her an excellent addition to the Tristar Team.

Renee Duncan, Office Manager Morristown Clinic

Renee is not only Morristown's office manager, she plays a role in assisting with technicians as well as coordinating with therapists. She is an avid hiker and loves the outdoors. She has has even hiked Mt. Katahdin in Maine.
She has been married for the past 26 years with two daughters and grandbaby.
Renee is instrumental in keeping one of our busiest clinics running and never hesitates to put all of our patients first.

Meet Chasity James!
Chasity and her husband, Jonathan, have been married for 10 years. They have two sons, Bentley (9) and Jack (5). Their family attends Spruce Pine Grove.
She is a major Bigfoot lover. She also has a passion for baking, camping, outdoor activities, and the color pink.
Chasity loves all of her patients at Tristar. She enjoys watching patients come in, progress, and leave pain free. On top of being a jack-of-all-trades, Chasity has created a culture here that emphasizes investment in the process and attention to detail. Barbara King, Front Office Operations Manager
Meet Barbara King! She is the Bean Station Office Manager.
Barb and her husband, Mike, have two beautiful daughters, and four wonderful grandchildren whom they love, love, love.
Barb attends Spruce Pine Grove Baptist Church and has a great love for Jesus.
She loves camping, and her favorite color is pink. She wants to visit Italy one day.
Barb's goals is to always be a smiling face and warm welcome to the patients since she is the first face they see. She is always striving to be a good wife, mother, grandmother, friend, but most importantly Christian.

Anna attended Walters State where she graduated in 2020.
She attends Friendsview Baptist church where her father is the Pastor.
Anna and her boyfriend, Austin, enjoy being outdoors, and movie nights. She loves anything her momma cooks!
If Anna could travel anywhere in the world she would go to Hawaii.
Anna is thrilled to be apart of the TriStar team and she is thankful for a company that helps its employees grow in their personal and professional lives.

Christina's hobbies include cleaning, shopping, and decorating. Her favorite food is anything Chinese/Japanese. Her favorite color is lime green.

Nikki Atkins, Billing Manager

Meet Nikki! Married to her husband, Shannon, for 23 years. They have two beautiful daughters Michaela and Anna.
She is a realtor for Castle and Associates. She attends Friendsview Baptist Church where her husband pastors. She loves to cook and bake.
Even though the patients don't normally see Nikki where she is normally behind the scenes. She always wants to be a light to those she encounters with her positive outlook.
Ryan Gibson, PTA, Clinic Director Bean Station Clinic
PRIMARY CLINIC: Bean Station
HOMETOWN: Mooresburg, TN
Ryan and his wife Kaylee have been married for one year and have a little girl, Josie, who is 3 months. They attend Clinchdale Baptist Church, and in 2016 Ryan announced his calling to preach.
He graduated from the Walters State PTA program in 2019. He loves working with the spine and manual therapy.
His hobbies include hunting and fishing. His favorite color is orange!
Fun fact about Ryan is his childhood nickname was Sweetcheeks!
Ryan's goals as clinic director are to be a good leader for his team and help his clinic expand.
Megan Gibson, OTR/L Maryville Clinic
Megan earned her Bachelor of Science degree from East Tennessee State University. She then graduated from Milligan University with her M.S in Occupational Therapy. She has clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
